Julian Assange and WikiLeaks supporters dream of a world of ‘radical transparency’. This is where information is freely accessible, and governments and corporations do not hide the truth from the public. However, what the Domscheit-Berg/Assange drama clearly shows is that free access to information is not enough to create a ‘free’ world. Information is merely the surface of the system.
